Paean for women

Welcome back!

The last time I wrote a post for men and what they liked about being masculine (check out panegyric for men) I hinted on a sequel that encapsulated what women liked about men or what women liked about being women. So, here you go.

In a world claimed to belong to men, said to be ruled by women because men fall for women, you can imagine the deluge of ideologies that pervade femininity. It is interesting that most of the opinions on what womanhood should embrace or model is often postulated by every other person than the woman in question. Starting from less controversial issues like what is decent dressing? to more provoking standpoints on when to marry or the necessity for child bearing but I am not here to shake tables, this is to be a jovial table full of tales of the feminine wills and benefits of this exclusive club of womanhood.

So let me ask you, what do you like about being a woman or being female? and if you are a man reading this, what do you like about women?

Now, when pondering on this question, it may be perspective to consider it in isolation of how women make you feel or the usefulness of women. This should just be an appreciation for womanhood and what it represents in isolation of functionality. That is hard right? yeah, because we often think in utility but if you were to hazard an aesthetic opinion, what will you say?

Let´s take a quick look at what some women had to say about being women:

As for me, I like all the ways I can experience pleasure and pain by reason of my emotions and my configuration. I like that I come in an intriguing shape, with curves and slants, ridges and edges. I like the softness my body evokes.

What I found most interesting in collating the responses is how so many women wish they were men because as challenging as being a man is, to some women, it feels easier than being a female. On the other hand, it was also exciting reading about women who don´t even have to think about being feminine but are quite content to repeat this cycle of womanhood again if granted the opportunity.

Maybe in the next post we will find out what men like about women and vice versa.

Till next time,

Stay Jiggy.
