Hey you,
This post is a collage of nuances collected from interactive dialogues. As it is said, “The quality of your questions determines the depth of your answers.”
It started with a post on IG I found where a couple of guys were discussing what they liked about women and typically, I went to the comment section with one particular comment standing out to me “Finally a podcast about men who truly like women” and that got me thinking as to the depth of this observation.
A lot of men do not realize how differently women are raised to view them; I don´t think that men understand that there is an intrinsic part of women that is cautious about the potential threat they pose to their existence. If this is born out of the need for preservation (the same way a prey tries to avoid a predator), or the mere fact that there are torrents of record to show the horrendous acts of men towards women and just humans being wicked historically is unknown to me.
What question triggered this post you ask? Simple, what do you like about being a man? Since I listened to a discussion about what men liked about women it got me thinking about what I liked about men and possibly what women like about men generally. Concurrently, I got curious about what men liked about themselves or about being male. So I sent out these questions to a fraction of men in my life.
Before, I go ahead to share to consensus of thoughts, you may want to contemplate the aesthetic of masculinity and ask yourself this very question or in a neutral sense, what do you like about being you?

What I found interesting is how most men instinctively gravitated towards a comparison. Particularly, that not having to experience period pain topped the chart of why they are grateful for being men 🤣🤣🤣
I think there is a lot to be said for an existence without comparison and the recognition of selective privileges but what does this storyteller know?
I hope you keep this conversation going and maybe come back again for the sequel on what women like about men or maybe what women like about being a woman.
Till next time, stay jiggy.
XOXO,
Dcconoisseur.
