JOURNALS OF THOUGHTS

Exactly as she Imagined it

Warning!!! this is a feel good post. It is all about good energy, optimism, and the mushiness that giddiness comes with.

It is for a world of dreamers or dreaming aspirants, there is no graduation from this college, no one is too grown to dream so esoteric contents, so out of this world that even reality is in doubt.

At this point, you may as well have stepped into a cartoon and for you non-believer in all things optimistic, better get your imaginary caps out, reality won’t do much for you here.

I was watching a cartoon, it is a cheesy Japanese cartoon really but I am not here recommending movie titles so we’d be skipping that part. What you need to know is that a betrothed was trying to gift her finance something special and then she thought since her budget was limited, she was going to gift him something handmade instead.

She came up with the idea of a woven ribbon for his hair. In her imagination, she thought of colours that would suit him and settled on mauve. She even thought as far as the wind blowing his hair and the position of the ribbon and how magnificent he’d look in that pose.

Well, her dream came through. It happened exactly as she thought! Yeah, I know it was a cartoon and cartoons are about happy endings, I know it was scripted but it got me thinking about how powerful imaginations can be so much so, that they hold the power to alter reality or reshape it.

We are quick to imagine the worse things especially us overthinkers, we take time to dissect all the worse possible scenarios that can play out with predictive accuracy that we even preempt responses to said potential event.

When it comes to imagining good things reality sets in. We do not believe that good things come true. So we invented ‘too good to be true” Why can’t good things be true or vice versa? I am aware this is not the holistic viewpoint of usage but pretend the definition is that narrow in the context of this analogy.

It is easier to believe that reality is a mixture of good and bad, with more bad than good events maybe because we are afraid of what absolute goodness may mean- Boredom. Maybe we thrive because of chaos, maybe the chaos helps us define good times or maybe not. Maybe instead we are masochists who would rather suffer than live hedonistically.

Today’s post is about daring to invent the unbelievable first with your mind. Creating an alternate reality that can superimpose on the sensual reality, it is mental kinesis.

The re-altering of constructs and mental obstacles. It is positivism gymnastics. Building happy muscles one thought at a time.

The conscious practice of imagining happiness and believing you can have it however, undeserving. The replacement of one negative thought with 13 more reasons why everything will work out better than planned.

To be in a constant daze of perpetual euphoria through acceptance of reality but with the reminder of artistry. Like an artist all you need are colors, a canvas to execute, and the imaginary mind to birth the subconscious or imitate a conscious picture.

The act is conscientious painstaking consistency, dogged imaginary optimism, going crazily sad at one point but fighting back like your life depends on it.

Being happy is not the only way to live life but becoming your dreams is certainly one way it all matters.

Each day invent an act that brings you closer to the life you want.

Impersonate your happiness.
