SHADES OF MEMORIES

HURRYING THROUGH THE MOMENTS

Anxiety

Impatience

Overthinking

These words connote an inability to enjoy the present

If you are anything like me, you can relate

I think almost every adult can…

Anxiety about bills

Work pressure, politics, and tension

Striving to have a life, to be seen, to be successful

We have different definition of success but I think for most it’d be to adequately meet their needs and possibly wants for themselves, and maybe members of their families.

Bottom line, we are always in a hurry

After all, we live by the slogans “life is short”, ” time is money”.

I think saying these things make us feel like we are in control of the time we have even if we cannot say for sure how much time we’d be given to experience life.

I guess I understand the need to cram our experiences

There is this fear that we may not have enough time to experience all that we desire.

We are aware of the constant time maze ticking in the background, the ultimate countdown.

I get it.

Despite this attempt to hurry through life, some days are slower than others. Yet, years blink by

We gather good memories along with the bad. It is the good, bad, and ugly dynamics.

Anyways, you are here now

How about you slow down to smell the air

Breathe in the freshness

Be alive through pain

Alert through love

Bear grief

Adore companionship

Make friends, fail…

See the world through your lens and those of others

Slow down

Why the hurry to the grave?

We are actually alive to die.

Tomorrow is a gift.
