SHADES OF MEMORIES

DIS-JUNCTION

Life is slowly ebbing away like the tides of tomorrow, future and past. Yet, no one knows what they are doing or how to make sense of this thing we call life.

When someone dies, the religious ones become more conscious of the afterlife, at least, for that brief moment of sober reflection but in truth, it never really sinks in.

I think our individual death is what will make it sink in but it just proves that each day, we live hopeful to see the next, tommorrow though, is not forever promised.

In the middle of a pandemic; life has altered a lot. We are now finding new ways to define kindness, love and appreciation for people while they are still here.

Yet, evil and wickedness still exist in this world. Selfish greedy ambitions, hate for things we cannot put in a box to conform to societal expectations, terrorism in government. Guys, the world is already breaking down!

Will it get better or do we learn to adapt and build resilience to more negativity?

Happiness is no more long term. Happiness is now because that’s the only time we are sure of.

Can time really be measured or is it defined in eternity?

Actually, some people never want to wake up at any other side. They just want to “exist” in nothingness. The sad part is; there is no guarantee we’d all get what we want. Including persons who want to wake up in nirvana.

Paradise starts from your heart…

I have so much more deliberations about this routine and meaninglessness we call living.

What if each new day we get is just one day created that we repeat in calendar months to make us feel like we are not going in circles? What if all our lives, however long that is; is just one day?

We have to be intentional about living because death is already intentional about us…

I think our existence should be curated by gratitude and not achievements.

Regardless of what we become or don’t become, there is already a set of struggles we are burdened with just by existing. Be kind to one another.

This life will end even if it doesn’t, we are all living on a countdown anyways.

I guess the point is; we are ephemeral.

Make each day count. Choose Joy, hope, Faith, and love for yourself and for others.

Together, maybe we can make sense of this thing called life or maybe not…
